What does the Order of the Arrow Do?
The Order of the Arrow's Purpose
As Scouting’s National Honor Society, our purpose is to:
-
Recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and through that recognition cause others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition.
-
Promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship as essential components of every Scout’s experience, in the unit, year-round, and in summer camp.
-
Develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit and ability to advance the activities of their units, our Brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation.
-
Crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

What does our lodge do?
Our lodge has four main events throughout the year. Our Fall Pow-Wow and Spring Event both serve as induction and service events, where we induct new members in our lodge and give service to Camp Cornhusker. Our Winter Event serves as a fellowship event. Scouts get together to plan for the upcoming year and have fun together. Our Fall Fellowship event is a formal dinner, where new officers are inducted and awards are given out to members who have given extensive service to the lodge.

Additionally, we have other events where we give service to the council and the community, such as roadside cleanups and work days down at Camp Cornhusker. We also offer leadership opportunities through service on the Lodge Executive Committee or as an OA Troop Representative
