Vigil Nominations are now OPEN!

Nominations for the Vigil Honor are currently open. If you know of an arrowman that is deserving of this honor, please fill out a nomination form and send it in. It is important for the members of the lodge to submit nominations. Members from the brand new, to the seasoned veterans are encouraged to submit a nomination for the individual(s) you feel are worthy of this honor.
The Vigil Honor is unique. It is a mark of distinction and recognition reserved for those Arrowmen who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions above and beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position or office to one or more of the following: their Lodge, the Order of the Arrow, Scouting, or their Scout Camp. Under no circumstances should tenure in Scouting or the Order of the Arrow be considered as reason enough for a Vigil Honor recommendation. Please keep this in mind as you fill out the recommendation. Clear and accurate descriptions of the Arrowman you are recommending will greatly help the nominating committee.
Any member of the Order of the Arrow registered in Scouting and in good standing with our lodge is eligible for recommendation to the national Order of the Arrow Committee for elevation to the Vigil Honor provided that, at the time of the recommendation, the individual has been a Brotherhood member for a minimum of two years. This means that anyone recommended for Vigil Honor Nomination must have received their Brotherhood Membership no later than the Spring Event in 2008.
All nominations must be made in writing before the end of the Spring Event, Sunday, May 14, 2010. Recommendations may be made by any Golden Sun Lodge member in good standing.

Any and all recommendations are welcomed and are all looked over by the nominating committee. Again, please have all nominations turned in by the close of the Spring Event on May 14, 2010. Forms are available on the website and a limited number will be available at the Spring Event.
